Book Editing Services:
We offer line editing, developmental editing, and editorial assessments for authors looking to strengthen their book.
We offer free 30-minute consultation calls to determine if the collaboration would be a good fit for both parties. We also offer sample edits, but only after we’ve discussed the book in the consultation call. The editor must specifically offer a sample edit in the call if it’s a good fit, then the author can decide if they are ready to hire after receiving the sample! If the editor does not offer a sample edit in the consultation call, then the project is not a good fit for us or our schedule.
After the client receives the free 30-minute consultation, they also have the right to decline the services offered. However, if both parties proceed with the service after the call and sample edit, Humming Hearts Publishing will send out NDA’s and contracts for editing services. Once the NDA and all editing service contracts are signed by both parties, the author must pay a 10% deposit to reserve the service as outlined in the contract.
At Humming Hearts Publishing, LLC, we will NEVER use AI to generate creative writing, edit, or write a book. We also do not accept manuscripts from an author that has be AI generated. The author must disclose if their book was written with AI.
For writers/indie-authors looking for book editors, we have the right to choose or refuse any story that we feel may not align with our mission or our schedule. Although we strive to help you release a flawless book, we cannot guarantee there will not be any human error.
Contracts
We work under contractual agreements for our book editing services to ensure accountability within both parties. Always refer to the agreement we send to your for clarification.
NDA for sample edits: If the editor offers a sample edit, the author must share the title of their project so our team can submit an NDA for the sample edit.
All clients that are either offered a payment plan or flat service rate are to enter a contractual agreement that must be signed by all parties (Humming Hearts Publishing LLC, the editor, and the client). The contract(s) must be signed after the project has been accepted by the business and editor at Humming Hearts Publishing, LLC, and once the client chooses to accept our offer and the chosen editor to polish their book.
Cancelation Fees
If you cancel unused book editing services, you must let us know 72-hours prior to the date your service begins (reference your contract date), otherwise you will be charged for the service. If you choose to cancel book editing services, you forfeit your deposit and will not receive a refund on that deposit.

Book Coaching services
We offer fiction book coaching services for writers looking to build writing habits and strengthen their storytelling skills.
For writers/authors looking for a book coach, we have the right to choose or refuse any story that we feel may not align with our mission or our schedule.
After the client receives the free 30-minute consultation, they have the right to decline the services offered. However, if both parties proceed with the service, and once the coaching service contracts are signed by both parties, the client must pay the deposit, unless otherwise specified in the agreement signed by both parties.
Contracts
We work under contractual agreements for our coaching services to ensure accountability within both parties. Always refer to the agreement we send to your for clarification.
Rescheduling/Cancelation
Always refer to the contract first. If you need to reschedule a book coaching service, you must let us know within 48-hours to secure rescheduling, otherwise you forfeit the session. If you decide to cancel any unused remaining sessions, you will not get your deposit back, nor will you get a refund on the services already provided to you. If you have any unused sessions because of a promotion, please refer to the contract and follow the guidelines within the agreement. Book coaching is non-refundable.

Services payment options:
Payment Plans
We offer payment plans with clients, and the specifics of that will be outlined in an “Editing Service Breakdown”, or the “Book Coaching Breakdown.” The payment plan agreement will be included in the contract service agreement between Humming Hearts Publishing, LLC and the client if applicable.
We require a 10% deposit from the total upon contractual agreement, then the payment plan will be adjusted according to the remaining balance from the deposit. This allows us to reserve your spot on our calendar.
Always refer to the contract because of the varying book coaching options.
Flat service rate
For any client who doesn’t want a payment plan and requests the flat service rate. We require a 10% deposit from the total upon contractual agreement to reserve your slot on our calendar.
